How Can NRIs Monitor Children Progress in Career Online?

How Can NRIs Monitor Children Progress in Career Online?

Are you worried about your ward’s performance in school?

It’s intuitive to think about the apple of your eyes (your child). Despite being far, non-residents of India often get trapped in a loop of thoughts-What my child will be doing?  Is he scoring well? How can I interact with his school performance? – These and a lot more.

Your child is your priority. So, you cannot blindfold to his school monitoring and evaluation. After all, it’s the only way to come across your child’s academic progress. With helpdesk like S2NRI, parents meet comfort in getting acknowledgement of their kids’ performance.

Let’s catch up all about school monitoring, its importance and a variety of ways to screen your ward’s performance in the academy.

What is school monitoring?

The school monitoring, as its name suggests, is a process of acknowledging your child’s academic performance. It is an organized way to systematically integrate a child’s all school activities in a coherent plan. This is how an overview of his performance shapes up. It serves as a referral, which guide parents, students and school authority to measure up his overall school performance. Thereby, it guides them to do the needful, if required, for improving his academic productivity. If his evaluation report marks him meritorious, you can award him with some gifts or picnic to boost up his morale.

Importance of school monitoring and evaluation system:

  1. Less paper work:

In 1980s and 90s, this kind of monitoring was a paperbound activity. But today, almost every system is transformed digitally. It has lessened the piles of unmanageable volumes of messy paper records. Their goal was to determine the progress of individual students in a timely manner. The goal of the digital monitoring system is more advanced. Besides progress, it has the efficacy of measuring flaws. It suggests that the failure or weakness can be averted through attending that flaw seriously. A little bit of hard work can pay off for this smart move.

  1. Performance boosts up:

In all, it is a performance tracker of pupils that helps in making a career of NRI children. Having been highlighted with the plus and the minus, it assists in addressing the problems. It spotlights the verticals for segregating verticals requiring more and less attention each in the education and extra-curricular activities.

  1. e-monitoring for lifting performance:

The electronic monitoring system is infused with live-chat facility. Even, contact numbers are particularly marked there for requesting direct addressing through a competent authority, say the principal or a class teacher. The parents can remotely get in touch with the teachers through it. It infuses a level of comfort for accessing ward’s progress anytime from anywhere. Thereby, the father or mother, despite being offshore, can ask teachers for the weaknesses, strengths and what-to-do to eliminate them.

  1. Child development programs:

The e-evaluation reports of academics displays scored marks and grades. Thereby, the NRI parents witness monitoring report across the internet. Even, they can plan to schedule a skype chat, for example, for discussing distantly over a variety of dynamic child development programs. The responsive and fast communication stays at your disposal to solve any matter of your child online. Moreover, the teenage NRI students can get best career advice through this excellent online mode of communication.

  1. Career counseling:

The electronic school monitoring systems are merged with career counseling. If they aren’t, the NRI parents can ask for an online advice over making the career in the government jobs, like IAS, IFS or DSSSB or about the private jobs and their prospects. A timely advisor can save a lot of time and directs the ward to achieve what he intends to. He will have hundreds of opportunities and inputs to catch the fruitful outcome.

  1. Preventing bullying:

Students often hide embarrassing incidents, like bullying. If, somehow, they muster courage to share it with parents, the far-located NRI father or mother will be unable to discuss the matter with teachers. Staying mute or lodging no complaints on-time can boost up such evil practices. Therefore, the parents should mention it as a remark in an e-monitoring report. Thereby, the students can put off an uncertain burden of being bullied from their chest.

Steps to Get Transcript from Delhi University

Steps to Get Transcript from Delhi University

Do you have documentation done in studying abroad?

Your departure to the foreign university may be cancelled due to a trivial reason, i.e. absence of a transcript. Although you would have taken admission in any university overseas, yet it can’t be confirmed unless you provide with a consolidated report of your mark-sheets.

What is a transcript?

The Delhi University issues it at the end of each semester. In all, you receive six mark-sheets after graduation. So, when you move offshore for further education, you must have that consolidated report of scores that you obtained in each semester. This collective report of all mark-sheets is known as a transcript.

Why do you require attesting the transcript?

The foreign universities reject acceptance of the mark-sheets that you provide separately. They require a stamp of authentication. That’s why you should create a master sheet consisting of scores of all semesters separately. Thereafter, it gets attested by the registrar of that university.

It’s noteworthy that you can’t get it done from any university. Rather, you have to approach the varsity where you graduated from. The chancellor or registrar of that university would put the stamp. Subsequently, it would be acceptable across the global universities.

What are the steps to get the transcript online from Delhi University (DU)?

You may be caught up in confusion if you don’t have enough knowledge of how to get the transcript online. I’m taking a case of the Delhi University. But, these steps would be viable and suitable in each case, whether it’s Maharashtra University or Sikkim University.

Let’s catch up the steps to get it online:

  1. Visit the official site of the college/university for transcription. In case of DU, it’s http://exam.du.ac.in/transcript.html
  2. On the home page, select the application form for the official transcript of Marks/Degrees
  3. The click would initiate downloading of the form. Open and save to fill it.
  4. Attach an A4 size paper to mention the title of your papers.
  5. It comprises the instructions to read out and follow up along with the requisite fee.
  6. Feed it with the particulars pertaining to the candidate, like Year, Roll No., Examination Passed, Marks Obtained, Result, Division and Particulars.
  7. Put your signature at the end of the form.
  8. Take it together with the requisite documents and fee.
  9. If you want, you can pay its fee online also.
  10. The Registrar of the University would put his stamp and deliver it to you.

How much time does it take to attest?

It takes around 10 days to deliver this transcript. Otherwise, you can collect the contextual information from the inquiry counter.

How much fee do you pay?

Since it’s not a free service, you have to pay INR 1000 (if applied in India) or US $100 (if applied from abroad). You have to pay additional INR 500 if you withdraw it after 6 years. If you compute this value in dollars, it would be US$150.

Besides, you can apply for more than a copy. But, you have to pay INR 100 for each new copy. Thereby, you need to spend US$10 additionally. It’s worth noticing that the price might vary if it’s revised by the time. It squarely depends on the revamped fee structure.

What document should you carry along with?

  1. All mark-sheets
  2. A copy of the Syllabus (It’s given on the website of the university to download. It would be available only if you’ve been passed out recently. If it’s not there, you can access it from the library of that university.)
  3. University Enrollment number/Degree Certificate
  4. If you’ve paid the fee online, the payment slip should be carried along with.
  5. Copy of degree
  6. Envelope to put the transcript.
  7. Another envelope with complete shipping details for speed post
  8. If you want more than one transcript, enclose more envelopes with your shipping address.
  9. Ensure that the envelope should be addressing as:

“Joint Controller of Examinations

Examination Branch

University of Delhi, South Campus

Benito Juarez Road

New Delhi-110021”

  1. It would take at least 10 days to process.

Is there any outsourcer to outsource transcript? If yes, how can you apply through it?

Yes, you can go for outsourcing the transcript service. The third party, like S2NRI, has been doing it for years. Therefore, you can:

  • Get registered with the website.
  • Send your query as ‘Transcript’ via an email or online chat.
  • Upload the documents when you’ll be requested.
  • Pay the service fee online.
  • Get it delivered within 10 to 15 days.

Best Career Opportunities for NRIs in India

Best Career Opportunities for NRIs in India

Job Opportunities in Indian Government Sector:

Indian is an ideal region for the job opportunists. According to the economic times, the union budget (2018-19) mentioned 2.53 lakh central government jobs in the two previous months. The finance minister Arun Jaitley announced to throw 35.05 Lakh job opportunities as on 1st March 2018. If you compare this figure with 32.52 Lakh employees, the difference of around 2.53 Lakh career opportunities would reflect. Of course, this difference would be ahead of the figures shown in 2016.

Moreover, the central government department would add on about 2.27 lakh jobs between 2016 and 2017. There are more government departments that would appreciate in the next financial year (FY). These include the Department of Agriculture (3,996+1,944), Cooperation and Farmers’ Welfare, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries (3,861), the Department of Atomic Energy (36,918), the Ministry of Civil Aviation (1197), Ministry of Culture (7675+3024), Home Ministry (5,836), Police Department (11,25,093), the Ministry of External Affairs (9672+1196), the Ministry of Environment, Forest, Climate Change (5119), the Mines Ministry (8562) and the Minority Affairs Ministry (772).

However, it’s true that the natives possess the right to be employed first. But, the lucrative perks take the brilliant brains out of this country. The job, perks & future security tempts an aspirant to hook to it. Like a native, an NRI can also think alike. He/she might give the selection in the Civil Services India would have in any corner of the mind.

Can they apply for the same? Let’s check below.

Do all NRIs eligible for government jobs in India?

The non-residents are the Indians who lived abroad for 180 days more or less. They can be a person of Indian origin (PIOs) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). The former one is already a discarded service now.

So! Are they eligible to be deployed on any government designation?

Well, its answer is pretty straightforward. Those who have not renounced their Indian citizenship and have its passport, they are eligible. They can have millions of career opportunities in India’s government sector, telecom, technology and manufacturing sectors.

Many of the Indians surrender their citizenship to acquire the residency of a foreign nation. It’s not illegal. Neither is it unethical. Anyone can renounce his citizenship. But those who retains or acquire later, they qualify for the government job exams. Meanwhile, the age, education and experience are also the metrics those should be equivalent to its fixed criteria.

What are the steps involve in the government jobs appointment?

The government, here, is impartial when it comes to the conducting an employment exam. Be it any NRI or citizen, it has the same hurdles for all. Usually, there are multiple steps in the selection. The biggest challenge is to come out as a winner from multiple steps that are applications, document verification, examination, interview, re-interview. He/she should come across all these hurdles through physical presence.

Are you thinking about the next section? Yeah! It defines the name of the sectors that tend to come out with massive counts of vacancy in these sectors.

Sectors:

  1. Healthcare: The biotechnology, contract research & manufacturing, clinical research and pharmaceutics combined to form this sector. The E&Y report valued the biotechnology sector worth $4 billion in 2010-11.The Indian CRAMS sector generated value worth $7.6 billion in 2012. The recent US immigration law amendments have turned millions of heads toward India. The H1B visa is basically an instrumental document to get deployed there. But the stringent immigration laws have converted the aspiration into mere a dream. Now, the highly educated like PhD, doctors and analysts are not permitted to go there. The Trump administration has conditioned it with the ‘American First’ rule in every job. It directly is benefitting the Indian healthcare sector. The skilled workforce and healthcare professionals would hunt for the career opportunities here. Thereby, it would scale up exponentially.

Also, the NRIs who would be deported on visa expiry can find better jobs here.

  1. Infrastructure: This sector began showing its prominence after India’s Eleventh 5 year plan, as per the Mckinsey Report. Investment in this sector showed 4.9 percent GDP growth in 2002-03. It exceeded and showcased around 7.2 percent in 2011-12. It reached around 10 percent of GDP in 2016-17.

Being a developing nation, India has thousands of jobs in building ports, roads, nuclear plants and private companies. The Make In India project of the Modi-led government has accelerated its progress. Also, the India Salary Benchmark report of Michael Page also applauded its extra-ordinary contribution to the economic growth. The footprints of Japan’s RTRJ in the development of urban transport system appear as a breakthrough. It is so because this standard would be hired to eliminate the chaotic Kolkata’s transport system.

Therefore, the highly skilled non-residents can be the foremost choice to employ for this sector.

  1. Telecom: The boom in this sector won’t be it unless there would be reliance. It is the forerunner on the plethora of the telecom world’s mobile broadband penetration. Also, the digitization drive has added rapid pace to it. Since 1990s, it shows the heights of the market liberalization. The world’s second largest mobile user base with over 1183.04 million users (till September 2017) is enough to impress the non-resident diaspora. It can seek an exhaustive number of vacancies in this sector.
  2. Government: There is no fixed share of NRIs defined in the government sector. But as aforesaid, all those who have the Indian passport would be eligible to take part in the UPSC exams. They can become an IAS, IPS, IFS and many more reputed officers.

Their citizenship would be the prime factor to make them eligible for the same. Apart from that, they must look into the age limit and qualification criteria.

  1. Information Technology: It is emerging as the largest cost effective outsourcing country in the world. The competitive ecosystem can be seen in the market here where Reliance once burst the monopoly of Airtel & Vodaphone.

The business landscape is reshaping due to interception of machine learning and AI (Artificial Intelligence). Software product, aggregators, fintech and eCommerce industry will likely to have explosive demand of the technology professionals. Digital transformation, data security, data migration and cyber bullying would be fought with the highly skilled IT engineers.  Like their demand, the salary package would go sky high, i.e. upto 26% to 30% on an average. Therefore, the immigrants from this country can have a prosperous career here.

Children Under 5 Years Get Blue Aadhaar Card in India

Children Under 5 Years Get Blue Aadhaar Card in India

Are you willing to enroll your kid’s name for the Aadhaar Card?

Its processing won’t involve the steps of registration that the teenagers & youths follow. The competent authority Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) published more than a couple of tweets in the month of February, 2018. All these tweets recite the updates regarding this card. These updates are basically meant for the tiny tots who are just five or below.

It’s a must to drill these updates in your head timely. You can get rid of glitches in the banking transactions, passport making and telecom services in the upcoming years.

What are the Aadhaar Updates for the kids below 5 years?

  1. Blue Card for Under 5 Kids:

The UIDAI has tweeted a fresh update on its official Twitter account. It has introduced a ‘Baal Aadhaar Card’ for a particular age group. The kids who are upto 5 years of age will be segregated under this age-group.

What’s the requirement?

So far, the UIDAI has announced to mandatorily provide the child’s birth certificate. If the parents have not yet registered their wards birth, they must get it done shortly. Otherwise, their children would definitely face off hitches in the future. If the parents have any plan to migrate or become an NRI, it would be a helpful tool.

To name the second requirement, the competent authority has directed to append the parent’s Aadhaar card number. Either mother or father can provide this detail to the authority. That will be valid to authenticate the Aadhaar application of their ward.

Cheers! The kids’ biometric details are not necessary. It defines that there is no need to scan the iris and finger prints of your ward.

  1. When to scan biometrics:

One more tweet reads the official twitter handle of the foretold authority. It cites that upto 5 years, no scanning of the iris and pupil will be required. But once the kids surpass that threshold of the 5 years of age, it’s a mandatory practice to come down to the nearby Aadhaar center for updating the card. The registry of biometric details fulfills this formality. The respective authority doesn’t charge a single penny for it.

  1. Mandatory to upgrade the biometrics at 15 years of age:

The authority has mandated to upgrade the biometric details at 15 years of age. The parents along with their ward must visit the nearby UIDAI office with the supporting documents. It determines that the children when reached the threshold of 15, they have to scan their finger prints and iris again.

These facilities would cost no arm and a leg. It would be absolutely free government service.

What are the steps to get blue coloured Baal Aadhaar card?

  1. Visit the UIDAI office. It must be located nearby your house.
  2. Take its enrollment form from the office.
  3. Fill it completely providing valid details of the kid’s birth and self’s Aadhaar number.
  4. Mention the mobile number to be registered with the blue card.
  5. Capture the picture of the kid. Except biometrics, the picture will be attached onto the form.
  6. Attach the supporting documents as aforementioned. The child’s school Id from any recognized educational institution can be attached to the enrollment form.
  7. Once all formalities will be fulfilled, you can get the acknowledgement slip from the office.
  8. This slip would enable you to catch on the Aadhaar status updates online.
  9. Subsequently, an SMS will be issued to notify the successful submission of the enrollment form. The message will flash on the registered number that would be registered in the form.
  10. These formalities would reach their termination at the delivery of this card. The entire process would take at least 60 days. Thereafter, you can collect it either by post or manually. If you find it feasible, collect it online using the number mentioned on the acknowledgement slip.
