Step 1). Prepare to Apply for a Transcript

  • Make up your mind for long waiting hours, especially on Mondays and Tuesdays. Although the office opens at 10:30 AM, people start standing in queues as early as 8:30 AM.
  • On your turn, you will receive a form to fill it up. It requires the basic information about you to be filled there. Fill it up.
  • Again, visit the officer. He will verify all documents and information being filled. Handover the envelopes that you have so that he can check.
  • Pay the requisite fee for the entire process. The total amount will depend on the number of copies you want to get attested.
  • Generally, it requires INR 5 per document as an attestation fee and INR 50/ document as a processing fee. Calculate the total fee according to the number of documents.
  • The backend officer will give you a receipt upon verification and fee payment. Keep it safe with you. Keep it handy because it will be required to collect your attested transcripts.
  • The processing time will be around 25 days. You may come back after that time to collect your documents.

Step 3). Collect Transcripts

  • Visit the office after 25 days and show the receipt to the concerned officer.
  • Your name and receipt number will help the officer to tell about the status of your transcript attestation. If it’s done, he hands over it to you.
